In some cases forests have been cut down, in other cases pollution as killed plants and animals in rivers, lakes, and wetlands.
Climate change has caused worsening ocean heat waves have harmed coral reefs. While ocean temperate increases have devastated sea grass, mangroves, and kelp forests - which are homes to many species but also take carbon from the atmosphere
While reducing our own carbon emissions and influencing industry and government to change is important, we can also help to restore damaged ecosystems as well. Some of the the ways you can help:
